In the classroom, on social activities or simply around the school and town, we always have the same objectives: – to give people the time and attention that make their stay with us enjoyable and memorable; to plan the week as carefully as possible – whether it’s classes, trips, activities or our free minibus shuttle service – to respond to situations, problems and requests sympathetically and efficiently
As we have fewer students than some other centres, you can expect to get to know our staff – making your stay more personal and ensuring fast progress in the classroom.
Our new school and student residence opened in January 2014 giving us a range of improved and new facilities. The generously-sized multi-purpose reception area gives our students a lot of space even when we are at capacity. This large area includes the reception, canteen, TV lounge, Internet café, shop, and games/seating areas.
The sense of space continues as you move through the school to the classroom and residence floors, all of which have light, good-sized rooms. In addition to the multi-function entrance hall, there is a large activity function room upstairs. There are 3 Wi-Fi zones which students can use free of charge.
Only 90 minutes from London on the Kent coast, our language school is the perfect place to study English in a relaxing and friendly location. The school is just a 5-minute walk from the shops, cafes, parks and seafront.
Recently voted the best place to live by the sea in England, Broadstairs is famous for its lovely beaches and has many great activities allowing you to experience local life and culture. These include the famous fresh fish and chips, Victorian tea rooms, traditional pubs, live music, town festivals – including Dickens Week (June) and Broadstairs Folk Week (August) – and a host of charming independent shops, museums and galleries.
Broadstairs town is a beautiful, traditional seaside town on the south-east coast of England. Situated 80 mins from London, 35 mins from Dover ferry port and 45 mins from Ashford International Eurostar terminal, our location is very accessible from the continent and an ideal place to learn English.
The historic city of Canterbury is nearby with its impressive cathedral and fascinating Roman, Saxon and medieval past waiting to be explored. The local area benefits from the combination of stunning coastline and lovely countryside that earned Kent the name ‘the garden of England’.
I'm a diploma-qualified teacher trainer with extensive experience in teaching English in Spain, Italy, France and the UK. After I obtained the DELTA in English language teaching at King's College London, I went on to work at one of the top language schools in the UK, where I featured in a teacher training DVD which accompanied the latest Longman edition of How to Teach English.
Over the past ten years I have worked with adults and teenagers at schools and Chambers of Commerce in England and abroad. I have particularly enjoyed writing and teaching exam preparation courses, such as TOEIC and First Certificate, and I enjoy the focus of ESP (English for Specific Purposes) and academic English courses.
