Our newest available course takes learning English out of the classroom and places it in a beautiful 7-acre woodland site. In this peaceful setting, students will find a wide range of learning spaces which put emphasis on education through exploration, play and enjoyment. Communication is at the heart of every session and the opportunities to develop English through speaking and listening are endless.

For many young people the classroom is a challenging environment. This course offers an exciting new way to access learning. Every session is planned and delivered by qualified Level 3 Forest School Practitioners, who tailor the sessions to your curriculum objectives.

In recent years there has been an increased understanding of the benefits of engagement with the natural world and a growing body of evidence to show that it can boost well-being and mental health. When you arrive at the site, it is not hard to see how this environment can promote well-being and an openness to learning.

Who is this course for?

This course is for anyone who would like to learn English in a unique and memorable way. The qualified Forest School Practitioners are experienced at dealing with children of all ages. The sessions can be tailored to fit your requirements, considering not only English levels but also wide-ranging curriculum topics. Sessions can be linked to learning in any subject from Art to science, maths or music and everything in between.

What about the English weather?

The course goes ahead come rain or shine. While the site feels wild, it is fully equipped with hot water, toilet facilities and log cabins. Students must come prepared with waterproof clothing and sensible shoes as well as sun protection. There is plenty of natural canopy offered by the trees as well as the log cabins and tarpaulins in place. The changing seasons and memorable English weather only add to the opportunities to learn here.
