Safeguarding of Under-18s
Safeguarding Policies and Procedures
Everything we do at the School is designed to ensure the safety, happiness and well-being of our students. Students are given information on their first day about road safety, behaviour and other health and safety considerations.
One of the most important aspects of the School’s policies and procedures are our safeguarding provisions. Safeguarding is a fundamental part of the School’s responsibilities to its visitors and staff, and also to its British Council accreditation. Safeguarding is also part of UK law.
All educational establishments have a legal obligation to safeguard children (0-18) or adults who are or may become vulnerable. It is important to us that children and their parents or carers trust the School and feel confident that they can approach members of staff if they have a problem. The School has two designated safeguarding leads (DSLs) who deal with all issues relating to safeguarding. The lead DSL is David Smith. The second DSL is Julie Priaulx.
